The Airport of Cointrin is 6 minutes by train from the station and the centre of the city and is also served by two bus lines. Practical, it is situated less than 4 km from the centre of the city. By changing trains in Cornavin station you can even go directly from the airport to the stadium or vice versa in just a few minutes.
There are direct connections to all the major cities of Europe.
During EURO2008 volunteers will be on hand to give information and help to the arriving visitors.
Geneva International Airport will be welcoming many supporters, either by scheduled airlines or by charter flights. But this additional traffic should not cause any particular problems for the “ordinary” passenger. However, we recommend that people taking a plane the day before, on the day or the day after a match which is being played in Geneva, arrive in plenty of time at the airport – two hours before the scheduled take off. Especially those people arriving by car on match days for an afternoon or evening flight, as traffic risks being very heavy. In case of traffic disruptions, the site www.gva.ch will give the necessary information.
