Increased public transport

The Geneva Public Transport will increase their general capacity from 3 p.m to 2 a.m.
On match days, the services on tram lines 12 – 13 – 15 17 and buses 11 – 21 – 22 – 23-D will be greatly increased.
The buses serving the “Stade de Genève” stop will be deviated for the 3 matches (7th, 11th, 15th June)

Night services every night during the UEFA EURO 2008™

Every night, the Geneva network Noctambus, will run 12 lines from midnight to 2 a.m (4 a.m friday and saturday night).
Regional trains to La Plaine and Coppet will run until 2 a.m.
The CFF (Swiss Railways) will run extra trains to guarantee return trips throughout Switzerland.

A special, made-to-measure Noctambus service will meet CFF HOST Cites night trains arriving in Geneva.
All night service fares will remain the same as usual, without any supplement.

Ticket offers

  • The Combined ticket comprises a match ticket and a general transport title valid on the CFF and all regional networks, recognised on all unireso lines, including those in France, for the day of the match and up until midday of the following day.
  • The CFF half-price ticket UEFA EURO 2008™ for 1 month from CHF 39.-
  • A General CFF Season Ticket UEFA EURO 2008™ for 1 month from CHF 299.--
  • The CFF Host City UEFA EURO 2008™ return ticket between a Swiss town and a host town, including local transport in the town in question

  • Unireso tickets (Geneva region):

    • "Tout Genève" 24 hours ticket (valid for 2 people Saturday and Sunday),

    • Day ticket "dès 9 heures" (from 9 a.m.) on sale from ticket machines and TPG agencies (Cornavin, Rive, Bachet-de-Pesay).

    • Unireso ticket offered to tourists on their arrival at the airport

    • Geneva Transport Card (unireso season ticket) given free of charge to all hotel residents and those staying in youth hostels and camping sites.

Advised Itineraries

carte des transportsGeneva station (Cornavin) is a central hub for travel in the town.
It is 6 minutes by train from the airport at Cointrin. The Geneva TPG bus lines 5 and 10 also make the connection.
From Cornavin, a regional train goes in 5 minutes to Lancy-Pont-Rouge, which is close to the stadium.


Several tram lines connect:

  • the Fan Zone, Plainpalais stop, in 8 minutes

  • the Geneva Stadium, Bachet and P+R Etoile stops, in 15 to 20 minutes.

  • the Fan Village (Bout-du-Monde stop) with trams 12, 13, 14 changing at Marché and connecting with the 11 or 21 bus.

A free shuttle will circulate every day from 7 p.m to midnight (to 2 a.m friday and saturday night) between the Fan Zone and the Fan Village.
These distances are fairly short and can be covered on foot, in the festive atmosphere. Itineraries between sites are indicated.
