Contagious diseasesThere is currently a measles epidemic in Switzerland, notably in the Basle area, where several matches will be played.
This disease can have grave consequences for people who have not been immunised and can lead to the need for hospital treatment in 10% of cases. It can cause irreversible brain lesions and even death.
The virus is extremely contagious and population movement increases the risks.
You are strongly recommended to have yourself vaccinated if you have not been. And if you are not sure and cannot find your vaccination certificate, it is better to be vaccinated twice than not at all. If you have any antibodies already, they will neutralise the vaccine immediately.
