Children and families are invited to discover the Bâtie for children, a new space devoted to play and discovering nature, at a celebration weekend on 18 and 19 September. A varied programme of activities will be on offer in addition to the normal schedule for families on Saturdays and Sundays in September and October.
The Bâtie for children is a space in the heart of nature combining the city’s largest playground, a paddling pool and two buildings intended for schools, community centres and crèches that are right by the forest: the Lodge and the Pavilion.
The Department of Social Cohesion and Solidarity is providing these new spaces as a base for children to discover nature and develop their creativity. Activities related to the environment are put on in partnership with WWF Geneva.
A weekend of celebration
Families are invited to discover the many features of the space on 18 and 19 September. The programme for the weekend includes workshops, events, shows, a rally and other activities for children of all ages. The festival is supported by the Association of friends of Doctor Korczak and Services industriels genevois (SIG).
Activities every weekend!
Throughout September and October an extensive and wide-ranging programme will be staged for families on Saturdays and Sunday. Free activities will include workshops, stories, events and shows.
