Do you want to stay fit, despite the passing of the years? Starting in May, you can participate free of charge in walking and muscle strengthening activities organised for senior citizens once a week, on the both sides of the Rhone, in Champel and les Franchises.
Times
- Champel: every Tuesday at 10 a.m., leaving from Parc Bertrand;
- Franchises: every Wednesday at 10.30 a.m., leaving from Parc des Franchises.
This service is provided free of charge, with no registration required, and takes place in all weather. It is open to autonomous individuals who are physically mobile, as well as people who walk using means of assistance.
In addition to certain physical benefits, “Bouger entre seniors” offers senior citizens the chance to meet and take advantage of personalised advice from health professionals.
Organised on both sides of the Rhone, this project is supported by the local social outreach centres of the Social Service, several municipal services and a number of senior citizen associations.
“Bouger entre seniors” is part of a broader prevention and support campaign for local solidarity actions developed by the Department of Social Cohesion and Solidarity.
