La Comédie meets the community through the local social outreach centre

Even before its official inauguration, la Comédie de Genève has developed a number of projects with a view to meeting the inhabitants of its new home, the district of les Eaux-Vives. To make the institution an integral part of the city, an activities programme will be organised from 9 to 15 May 2021, both in the building and outside. Focussing on community life and the day-to-day artistic and social ties forged with the theatre, these events are founded on outstanding collaboration with artists and partners in the field.

During this singular period, when public access to social and cultural structures has been severely limited, it was necessary to find new ways of reaching out to both partners and local residents. Sharing this common desire to maintain ties with the inhabitants of Geneva, the local social outreach centre is participating in the activities programme implemented at La Comédie.

As a partner and expert in the lives of the local community and the local associative players, the Eaux-Vives Cité / Champel local outreach centre (ASP) has played a key role in bringing these events to life with a view to fostering contact and encounters focussing on the cultural institution.

From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday 9 May, the ASP will be present at La Comédie with a social information stand alongside the following associations and partners:
