Swiss Food Academy offers children aged 6 to 12 the chance to create their own chocolate recipe with a local chocolate maker during this 100% chocolate workshop. Gourmet treats guaranteed! CHF 10 per child, reservation required.
Easter egg hunt and entertainment in Plainpalais

While their parents are at the market on Good Friday in Plainpalais, children can admire the sheep and take part in an Easter egg hunt... with a chocolate rabbit waiting at the end! Free
Easter egg hunt with the games libraries
The City’s games libraries get into the Easter spirit with a range of treasure hunts and games during the holidays as well as the not-to-be-missed Easter egg hunts:
- Le Petit-Saconnex games library, 5 April at 3 p.m.;
- Sécheron games library, 12 April from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m.;
- Les Pâquis games library, 12 April 1.30 p.m. to 2 p.m.;
- Les Eaux-Vives games library, 17 April, morning;
- Centre and Old Town games library, 21 April from 2 p.m.
Pakatrap festival
From 1 to 16 April, Old Town and countryside around Geneva
The Pakatrap festival organises a range of activities during the Easter holidays in the City of Geneva and the surrounding countryside. The attractive programme includes walks, paper chases, Easter egg hunts for the kids and local beer or wine tasting for parents.
Chocolate chase
8 and 15 April, Old Town
The White Rabbit from Wonderland will be in the Old Town with a paper chase, giving families the chance to discover Geneva while tasting chocolates made by local producers.

From 10 to 14 April and from 17 to 21 April, Plainpalais skate park,
The association Gvask8 is organising an Easter camp at the Plainpalais skate park for children aged 8 and over, Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. Ample opportunity to discover the sport or become a seasoned freestyler. CHF 130 (not including membership fee), registrations via the Gvask8 website
Cycle tours
From 24 April, free cycle hire is back at the 3 Genèveroule stations. The chance to pedal your away around the city and surrounding area, in particular drawing inspiration from our selection of cycle routes.
Miscellaneous sports
City’s sports facilities, throughout the holidays
To get active while having fun, come along to les Vernets swimming pool, Richemont stadium (running, street workout) or the sports centres of le Bois-des-Frères (running), Vessy (outdoor tennis), la Queue d’Arve (badminton, squash, pétanque, climbing) or le Bout-du-Monde (outdoor street workout, indoor tennis).
Get interested in dance
18 and 20 April (2.30 p.m.), Grand Théâtre de Genève
Among the activities open to families during the holidays, the Grand Théâtre Jeunesse offers children aged 6 and over, accompanied by an adult, the chance to discover dance with the troupe of Fernanda Barbosa, a dancer with the Ballet du GTG for 14 years. CHF 15 / CHF 10 for children under 12.

Through an immersive acoustic circuit, the elephant Miss Djeck relates the treasures of the Museum and brings the specimens back to life. Free from the age of 8
The wolf and its Muzoo

Between a curiosity cabinet and Ali Baba’s cave, the Muzoo presents the very best of the Théâtre du Loup’s scenographic production. The perfect opportunity to explore this site – half bestiary and half gallery – and to get to know its residents such as Suzy Certitude, the giant spider.

The Musée Ariana offers visitors a free treasure hunt in the surrounding park. A fun and creative activity intended for visitors aged 6 and over. Free booklet available at the museum’s reception, reward to be picked up at the end of the journey.
Fun activities at the Villa Yoyo

A whole host of fun, sporting and creative activities on the theme of nature await children aged 4 to 12 from the Saint-Jean Charmille district at the Villa Yoyo from Tuesday to Friday, 10.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Discover the history of pop music with the Galaxie POP exhibition. A creative workshop will give you the chance to create a colourful, fluorescent and sparkling record sleeve… POP! Free admission from the age of 9, registration required.
Do paper painting workshop

This workshop will give you the chance to take a closer look at the traditional craft production of do paper, popular in Vietnam, and to learn how to paint animal figures on it. Free, open to all.

If you want tasty varieties of fruit and veg on your balcony or in your garden, visit the seedlings market at the Beaulieu greenhouses, every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. On 16 April, to mark Artichoke week, you can purchase Plainpalais purple artichoke seeds, a rare species that has escaped extinction.
