The Department of Social Cohesion and Solidarity, the Cantonal Department of Social Cohesion (Bureau d’intégration des étrangers) and the FASe have published a fun A to Z of the Champel-Roseraie and Florissant-Malagnou district. Developed in the wake of the neighbourhood social forum and inspired by suggestions from children, it takes the form of small leaflet distributed to families in November and displayed in the main public areas around the district.
Feel like a stroll around the Champel district? Has your family recently moved here? Are you a long-standing resident? The A to Z of the Champel-Roseraie and Florissant-Malagnou district will offer you a chance to (re)discover numerous points of interest from Parc Bertrand to Champel Tower, taking in the Bout-du-Monde Stadium along the way.
Taking the form of a small leaflet, this A to Z is the fruit of a workshop organised in 2019 with local children and their accompanying adults. Together, they identified their favourite sites around Champel. On the back, a simplified map of the district, created by the illustrator Cécile Koepfli, complements the information on the front and the list of letters drawn by the children. An ideal way to see the district with a fresh eye!
This joint project is the work of the Departement of Social Cohesion and Solidarity (DCSS), the Cantonal Department of Social Cohesion (Bureau d’intégration des étrangers) and the FASe. This fun medium helps welcome new families to this increasingly populated district while offering more long-standing residents the chance to really own their neighbourhood.
The fun A to Z of the Champel district will be distributed to families in November 2021 via their children’s school equipment and displayed in partner sites such the Champel Maison de quartier, the Champel Espace de quartier and the local nurseries.
