Supporting the local cultural scene
For memory’s sake, the call for projects issued in June by the City of Geneva’s cultural service received 356 applications, 18 of which were selected by the expert commission. A credit of CHF 300,000 was allocated to this call for projects with the aim of providing the population with a cultural offering despite the health crisis and helping support the local cultural scene during a particularly difficult period.
These projects will be organised in addition to the existing cultural programme, and in particular the 49 concerts programmed by the Fête de la musique team, the offerings of the municipal libraries and museums and the events organised by the City’s cultural partners. All the offerings will be organised in accordance with the health and safety measures in force and can be enjoyed free of charge. You can learn more about these summer events on the Genève en été app and the City of Geneva website diary at www.geneve.ch/agenda.
