Even more air for cyclists! A number of new bicycle pumps have just been installed, bringing the total number of tyre inflation stations to 13.
Located close to secure cycle paths or busy sites, the bicycle pumps offer users the chance to inflate their tyres and thus get around the city in the best possible conditions.
New stations
In addition to Cornavin railway station, where a pump has been in service since 2018 in front of the bike station, the stations in les Eaux-Vives and Champel have now also been equipped. The cycle park at the beach in les Eaux-Vives, a popular site with the local population, also provides this service, with another station located on Quai des Bergues, close to Rue Rousseau.
These installations offer cyclists ample opportunities to inflate their tyres, a simple operation that must nevertheless be done on a regular basis, in particular for the rear wheel. A bike with correctly inflated tyres is much better to ride!
To ensure that all 13 pumps remain in good working order, the association Genèveroule is tasked with conducting regular inspections and performing any necessary repairs.
