Since 1 June 2023, Mr Alfonso Gomez has been the new Mayor of Geneva. His year as Mayor will be devoted to the climate emergency and human rights, two topics that are closely linked.
In order to celebrate this investiture, the City of Geneva is inviting its residents on:
Wednesday 7 June 2023
• 6.15 p.m.: leaving from the Esplanade Saint-Antoine and procession through the old town
• From 7 p.m.: on the Promenade de la Treille.
The official ceremony will be followed by a reception with music performed by Red de Tamboreras de Suiza, Irmandade Galega Na Suiza and la Musique municipale.
In the event of rain, the official part and the reception will be held on Place des Canons.
