The Undertakers, Cemeteries and Crematorium Service recently published a pamphlet entitled “My last wishes” with a view to helping people express their wishes relating to their death and the organisation of their funeral. A series of public presentations of this pamphlet followed by a discussion will be organised by the Social Service in four community centres from February to April 2020.
Questions relating to the end of life and funerals are often taboo in our society. Offering the public an opportunity to learn more and, more particularly, to talk about these matters helps de-dramatise the issue of death.
The “My last wishes” pamphlet, published by the Undertakers Service, provides information and practical assistance to enable each individual to express their wishes with regard to the organisation of their funeral. This makes it easier for loved ones to takes decisions following a death. The pamphlet is available for download at the bottom of the page.
