“New Light” operation in the district of Servette - Charmilles

The City of Geneva and the SIG are working together to make energy savings.

To protect our environment and help reduce the electricity bill of households in Geneva, two “New Light” operations will be conducted in apartment buildings belonging to the City of Geneva in the district of Servette Charmilles.

Some 500 new apartments will benefit from an awareness campaign relating to eco-gestures as well as energy-saving equipment. Companies based in the district of les Grottes will also be able to benefit from advice thanks to the “Efficient SMEs” operation.

Following in the footsteps of tenants in the Cité Jonction and the apartment buildings in le Seujet in 2019, it is now the turn of the inhabitants of the district Soubeyran (1 March to 26 March) and of the district of Asters (6 April to 30 April) to benefit from the “New Light” operations.

Eco21 ambassador

The aim of the “New Light” operation is to help households reduce their energy consumption. Thanks to efficient technologies, in particular in the field of lighting and refrigerating, and to eco-gestures, the inhabitants will be able to reduce their electricity consumption. Savings on heating and water consumption are also on the agenda of the operations.

More specifically, the tenants will benefit from free equipment and personalised advice provided by an Eco21 ambassador. This specialist will explain the right gestures and reflexes to adopt in order to reduce the households’ energy bill.

“Efficient SMEs” operation

Small and medium-sized enterprises located in the district of Servette Charmilles are invited to take advantage of the “Efficient SMEs” operation, conducted in collaboration with SIG-éco21, with the aim of reducing their energy consumption. Spread over a longer period of time, this operation will run from  March to May.

The list of the ambassadors is available for downloard (flyer in French).

This operation is carried out in compliance with the sanitary standards of the FOPH. The operation could be postponed according to the evolution of the health context.
