“La ville est à vous” is back, with a few new twists

Once again this year, the local residents will rally round in the different neighbourhoods of Geneva to make public areas their own by transforming the streets into festive meeting places. Anyone is at liberty to organise a garage sale or entertainment stand.

Neighbours’ Day: a much anticipated day!

The 19th edition of Neighbour’s Day will be held on 2 June 2023 all around the City. It is the opportunity for everyone to get together and enjoy a convivial moment.

This innovative solution for sharing sports equipment is installed at the entrance to la Plage des Eaux-Vives, providing the public with free access to sports and leisure equipment via a mobile app.

Keep on your toes! Staying active with other senior citizens

Walks open to all will take place at 10 a.m. every Tuesday in Parc Bertrand, every Wednesday in Parc des Franchises and every Thursday in Parc Baud-Bovy. These sessions provide an opportunity to do a physical activity close to home in a pleasant, convivial atmosphere.

LGBTIQ+ families and parenting in every form are legitimate

This year, the City of Geneva’s campaign against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia focusses on the diversity of family and parenting models observed within the LGBTIQ+ communities. From 8 to 21 May 2023, six posters created by the artist Louiza will illustrate this diversity around the streets of Geneva.

Musiques en été: an XXL summer programme for the Ella Fitzgerald Stage!

Musiques en été unveils its programme for a glimpse of summer heat in the cool of La Grange park, together with all the music it conjures up. The festival is back with an XXL musical offering that’s as attractive as ever.

Generali Genève Marathon

The Generali Genève Marathon is one of the most beautiful marathons in Europe and the fastest in Switzerland. The 17th edition will take place in 13 municipalities of the Canton on 6 and 7 May 2023.

“Shall we walk?” campaign

The campaign focussing on feet, “paws”, “plates of meat” or “shanks’ pony” will be displayed once again around town to encourage the local population to walk.
