Exhibition: “From dusk to dawn” – Collection of the Kyiv National Art Gallery”

The Art and History Museum is delighted to invite the Kyiv National Art Gallery to present the “From dusk to dawn” exhibition at the Musée Rath from 8 December 2022 to 23 April 2023 as part of its 100th anniversary celebrations.

New Year’s Eve Party 2022

In amongst live bands, electro, disco and karaoke, Geneva will be partying by the lake to see the New Year in! Several stages, bars, a staged programme and the traditional firework display await the public to celebrate New Year's Eve on the quay and the Mont Blanc Rotunda.

“Réveillon de la solidarité” at the Plainpalais community centre

This year, following two editions cancelled due to the pandemic, the City is once again organising a “Réveillon de la solidarité” New Year’s Eve event. Offering disadvantaged people and those living alone some welcome warmth and conviviality, this festive evening is open to all. So why not come along to the Plainpalais community centre from 6.45 p.m. on 31 December 2022 to share a meal and enjoy the different entertainment organised until the early hours.

"Médaille Genève reconnaissante" 2022

At the suggestion of the Mayor, Ms Marie Barbey-Chappuis, the Executive Council has decided to award the Médaille Genève Reconnaissante to Mr Jean-Pierre Greff, Director of the Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design Geneva (HEAD-Geneva).

The Department of Highways has activated its snow and black ice programme

The Department of Highways has activated its special winter programme until spring. With temperatures falling and the possibility of poor weather to come, there is a high risk of snow and black ice on the 220 km of roads and 440 km of pavements and footpaths in the City of Geneva.

City of Geneva services closed and on duty during the festive period

During the festive period, the municipal offices will be closed from 24 December 2022 to Monday 2 January 2023 inclusive. Certain services and information or reception facilities will nevertheless remain open to the public.

A new “chalet” on Place des Augustins

Since the inauguration of Place des Augustins in April 2021, the kiosk had been waiting for a new manager to give it a new lease of life. And it got its wish at the end of November 2022: the Geuther brothers are now pleased to welcome you to their “chalet”, serving raclette with a twist.

Bienvenue +: a guide for events open to all

The City of Geneva has adopted a cross-cutting universal accessibility policy with a view to taking persons with special needs into account when organising its events and services. The little guide entitled “Bienvenue+” is intended to improve the welcome offered to everyone concerned during conferences, debates, cultural or sporting events and any other community activities.
