Bol d’Or Mirabaud 2023

The Bol d’Or Mirabaud is the most important closed basin regatta worldwide. It will be held from 9 to 11 June 2023 on Lake Geneva and can be followed from several vantage points on land, on the lake itself and live on a number of different digital platforms.

The 84th edition of the Bol d'Or Mirabaud (BOM), the largest closed basin regatta worldwide, will take place from 9 to 11 June 2023.

Launched in 1939, this annual competition starting in Geneva welcomes single-hulled and multi-hulled vessels to Lake Geneva.

More than 500 boats compete over the theoretical course of 123 kilometres (66.5 nautical miles) from Geneva to le Bouveret and back.

Programme

The BOM village opens its doors on Friday 9 June from midday. On Saturday and Sunday, visitors can make the most of entertainment, stands, bars and catering from midday onwards.

Live concerts will be held on la Neptune:

  • Friday 9 June at 8.30 p.m.: LasVegasParano
  • Saturday 10 June at 8.30 p.m.: Noexus Show, followed by DJ Sax from 10 p.m.,
  • Sunday 11 June at 4 p.m.: Djangologie.

The prize-giving and closing ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on Sunday, followed by an aperitif.

Follow the race

On land

The regatta will start on 10 June at 10 a.m. The two start lines are laid upstream of the Société Nautique de Genève on the southern shore to the northern shore, close to Port Tunnel. To be sure to enjoy a good view of the start of the regatta, the following options are recommended:

  • from Plage du Vengeron, if you are on the northern shore,
  • along Quai de Cologny and from Pré Byron on the hillsides above Cologny if you are on the southern shore.

On the lake

You can climb aboard one of the passenger or cruise boats operated by the Compagnie Générale de Navigation, with food available on-board.

The accompanying boats are excluded from certain areas of the lake and must comply with the rules presented on the Bol d'Or website
