To combat the rise in infections, the Department of Health (DoH) of the Canton of Geneva is providing a mobile vaccination unit that will be in the Soubeyran community centre from 10 to 15 January 2021.
The City of Geneva is supporting the Vacci-ROAD programme (vaccination without an appointment) set up by the Canton by providing a community facility in the Servette district.
In order to make it easier for the people of Geneva to get vaccinated, the Department of Health (DoH) is strengthening the vaccination infrastructure with a mobile team of two nurses, several administrators from the DoH and security staff from the Civil Defence. The unit can supply both vaccines available in Switzerland.
The mobile vaccination team does not require an appointment and will be in the Soubeyran community centre:
- Monday 10 to Friday 14 January 2022, 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
- Saturday 15 January 2022, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The provision of this facility highlights the worrying epidemiological situation, with the number of hospitalisations rising steadily.
