The municipal police force recruits throughout the year

The municipal police force has introduced a new, permanent recruitment process. It is no longer necessary to wait for a job offer to be advertised in order to become a municipal police officer (MPO).

A new single entry point, devenez.ge.ch, enables anyone interested in this profession to enrol to become a municipal police officer by applying for the recruitment process at any time, on condition that they satisfy the selection criteria.

Once the process has successfully been completed, the person is added to the pool of potential cadets with a view to joining the training school.

Initial training process

Lasting 8 months, the initial training to become a municipal police officer combines theory and practice to provide future MPOs with the best possible preparation. The subjects taught are as varied as the skills required in this profession.

At the end of the training, the new officers will join the municipal police force in order perform an interesting and exciting duties while serving the population.
