Open day at the Plainpalais community centre

The teams of the Social Service, the associations and inhabitants who organise activities at the Plainpalais community centre invite the public to discover their programmes during the open day to be held on Saturday 5 November 2022, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. A day that places inter-generational relations centre stage with musical entertainment, dance, creative activities, games and workshops dedicated to food. Free admission.

Do you live in the Plainpalais district? Are you familiar with “your” community centre? You will have the opportunity to discover the numerous facets of the centre along with the individuals who help run it throughout the year.

From 2 p.m. on Saturday 5 November 2022, you are cordially invited to the open day at the Plainpalais community centre, rue des Minoteries 3.

The Plainpalais community centre is a social centre managed by the Plainpalais Jonction/Acacias local outreach centre. It is open to inhabitants and groups in a neighbourhood boasting a particularly dynamic associative life. Following a call for projects, activities will be organised throughout the year while different rooms will be loaned out on an occasional basis.

Overview of the programme for 5 November

The different activities will offer something for every taste and every age:

workshops exploring autumn card decoration, textile DIY, painting and collages for creative minds;
tai chi, multicultural gymnastics, salsa and zumba gold to stay in shape;
food and health workshops for both children and adults;
and improvised music, theatre for all focussing, fun dictations and bingo.

The festivities will continue at the end of the afternoon with a free aperitif, snacks at reasonable prices, Portuguese folk entertainment and a karaoke evening.

These activities are free of charge with no need to register.
