From 18 May to 16 October 2023, it is possible to bathe along Quai Wilson! Access ramps and a demarcated bathing area have been created, offering a new site for the local population to take a dip on the northern shore.
A new access point to the water
Temporary facilities have been installed on Quai Wilson, offering bathers access to a demarcated bathing area.
These consist of:
- 4 ramps providing access to the water
- Lifebuoys
- Signposts
- Defibrillators
- Equipment marking the bathing area (buoys, etc.).
Opening times
Bathing is authorised from midday to 10 p.m., in the demarcated zone only. Caution: the bathing area is placed under the responsibility of the bathers themselves. No supervision is provided.
This bathing area is open to the public from 14 April to 16 October 2023. The temporary facilities can then be used again in subsequent years until a permanent arrangement is implemented.
Permanent facilities
A one-degree SIA standard design competition will be launched on 31 May 2023. This relates to the relaxation areas, water access and bathing area on Quai Wilson. The scope of the study stretches from the Rotonde des Pâquis to Parc de la Perle du Lac, between the building façades and the bathing area.
The results will be announced at the end of 2023.
