Health measures mean the Victoria Hall cannot open its doors to the public. But it will nevertheless bring a new concert into your home on Sunday via live streaming!
The next Sunday Concert will see the Victoria Hall welcome the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève on 21 February 2021.
Following the cancellation of its last end-of-season concert, the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève under chief conductor in residence Arie van Beek is returning to the Victoria Hall with a radiant programme that allows no shadows to disturb the cheerful atmosphere of the works being performed. Water Music by Handel combines pieces intended to be played outdoors, the Vivaldi Concerto for Two Horns is redolent of fragrances of the countryside, while the Mozart Serenade no. 6 offers the softness of a summer night. And the 4th symphony by Mendelssohn is the perfect image of its composer: elegant, and never at rest.
Since health measures do not permit public concerts, join this Sunday Concert filmed by Léman Bleu when it is broadcast on Sunday 21 February at 5pm on the Facebook pages of the City of Geneva and the Department of Culture and Digital Transition.
