Speed, flexibility and less (air and noise) pollution: bicycles have many advantages in our city, where the distances are just right for this form of transport.
Some new developments
The cycle network is gradually being extended.
The new 30km/h zones in Vermont and La Jonction mean that some streets now have contra-flow systems for bicycles to optimise short journeys within districts.
Avenue Edmond-Vaucher now has cycle lanes in both directions and cycle parking spaces continue to be rolled out in small groups across the city. These facilities are aimed at meeting the needs of both residents and commuters.
