The inhabitants of Geneva are invited to discover the 12th edition of Primart, held from 7 to 25 October 2020 at Le Commun. Works by young local talents rub shoulders with those of renowned artists in the field of street art. The event is organised by the associations FBI prod.ch and Glitch, in collaboration with the Youth Service and Cultural Service.
For more than ten years, the Youth Service has organised Primart, an event offering young artists an exhibition site which is ideal for showing their works in their best light. In tangible terms, social outreach workers identify artists interested in the project and handle the coordination between the young people and the exhibition site.
The vernissage for the 12th edition of Primart will take place on 8 October, by invitation, at Le Commun in the presence of Administrative Councillor, Christina Kitsos. Once the official part is complete, the artists and partner associations will be presented.
Budding talents and renowned artists
For the very first time, Primart is taking place in an acknowledged venue on Geneva’s cultural scene, bringing together ten artists. The exhibition gives pride of place to street art, with graffiti and other street art works. Budding talents rub shoulders with renowned local or international artists. However, the event is also open to a wide range of expressive techniques, with pictorial works, photographs, screenings and installations.
The Primart exhibition can be visited free of charge from 7 to 25 October, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Le Commun. In parallel to Primart, workshops, urban walks and conferences are organised in the district of la Jonction. All the programme details can be found on the Primart PAMX website.
