“Quartier-Paysage – le Jardin des Nations” exhibition

Throughout 2021, contributory processes conducted by different partners of International Geneva, and calling on the involvement of the local inhabitants, supported the development of an innovative and sustainable vision of the future of the district of les Nations.

Following two years of research, the strategies developed and projects put forward as part of this process are now gradually being implemented. Several events and installations (“Kiosque des Nations” and “Gradins Rigot”) designed to ensure a lasting transformation of Place des Nations and the surrounding area will be open to the public between 15 September and 23 October 2022.

Running from 5 October to 23 October 2022, the “Quartier-Paysage – le Jardin des Nations” exhibition highlights the supporting media developed by the ALIN collective by presenting eight large map boards. These are accompanied by works created by the artists Nadine Schutz and Alex Hanimann.

An inclusive and sustainable district

These events contribute to the short- and long-term development of the district of les Nations as an inclusive and sustainable neighbourhood. They are entirely in line with the interdisciplinary “Vision pour le Jardin des Nations” study conducted by the Canton, the City of Geneva and the municipalities of le Grand-Saconnex and Pregny-Chambésy, with the participation of the Mission of Switzerland, with a view to ensuring a lasting transformation of Place des Nations and the surrounding area.
