From 28 March 2022, the Early Childhood Information Office (BIPE) is re-opening its doors to offer on-site assistance. Parents wishing to register a child for a place in a nursery can make an appointment via Agenda.ch to visit the office at 8 rue du Cendrier, Tuesdays from 8.30 a.m. to midday and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Registrations are also possible online.
The Early Childhood Information Office is re-opening its premises to families. This is good news for numerous parents living or working in the municipality who wish to register their child for a place in a nursery. They will receive more detailed information concerning the different preschool education facilities in the 83 early childhood daycare structures subsidised by the City of Geneva.
From 28 March, parents are invited to visit the offices at 8 rue du Cendrier, Tuesdays from 8.30 a.m. to midday and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., by appointment via Agenda.ch.
Please note that registration requests for a place in a nursery can also be submitted via an online procedure on the City’s website.
Hotline
Families can also contact the Early Childhood Information Office via the hotline on 022 418 81 81, from 10 a.m. to midday, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Finally, the Early Childhood Information Office can be reached at all times by e-mail to @email.
In light of the current issues concerning the early childhood sector (gradual municipalisation from 2023, opening of more than 600 places by 2028), the Early Childhood Information Office will assume an increasingly important role as a key observatory of extra-familial childcare needs. It is an essential tool in developing an early childcare policy adapted to parents’ demands.
