Good news: the city has jumped up the national ranking of Swiss cities. The highlights are an improved network of cycle paths in recent years, enabling cyclists to reach their destination more quickly while promoting cycling in general.
The main downside relates to safety on major roads and at crossroads and junctions, with a strong demand for safe, continuous routes.
The personal comments highlight incivilities between different road users as well as a feeling of insecurity felt by numerous cyclists.
The City also received considerable encouragement to pursue its policy of introducing cycle paths. The City of Geneva fully intends to continue developing an attractive and safe network of cycle paths.
