MICROSCOPIA - Plankton, from Lake Geneva to the ocean

physical venue

Dedicated to the plankton of Lake Geneva and marine plankton, a UNIGE exhibition plunges visitors into a world apart, a captivating ecosystem that is not usually accessible.
Organismes planctoniques du Léman et de l'océan / Visuel de l'affiche de l'exposition

The organisms that make up plankton make up the majority of living things in water: there are over 10 billion of them in every liter. Yet most are invisible to the naked eye. This exhibition invites you to enter a world apart from the normally inaccessible, where cells, nanoparticles and bacteria become visible. Welcome to the world of plankton, a captivating ecosystem.
