While awaiting the introduction of the new CFF 2024 offer, the City of Geneva is no longer selling CFF travel passes for the period from 1 July to 31 December 2023.

During this transitional period, it offers people living in the city a reduction of CHF 15 on the purchase of a day pass (1st or 2nd class, discounted or not) allowing them to travel from 1 July to 31 December 2023.

A subsidy pending SBB's 2024 offer

Replacing the old CFF day pass, the discounted municipal day pass is a new offer from the CFF, which will go on sale on 11 December 2023. The first possible travel day is 1 January 2024.

This new discounted day pass includes two price levels and will be available for 1st and 2nd class, with or without a half-price subscription. It will be issued in the user’s name, either a mobile or printed ticket.

There are no more day passes available in 2023. The subsidy of CHF 15 on the purchase of a day pass is an alternative solution introduced by the City of Geneva while waiting for this new offer from the SBB.
