Conducting an administrative procedure of the State of Geneva online

Who is this procedure intended for?

This procedure is intended for people resident within the territory of the City of Geneva who wish to conduct administrative procedures with State of Geneva via the e-procedures portal of the Canton of Geneva.

What does this procedure involve?

On the website of the Canton of Geneva, the e-procedures enable private citizens to conduct their administrative procedures remotely.

Certain procedures require registration with verification of your identity. This verification provides you with online access to all your procedures and personal data.

What to do.

Remote verification of identity (6 working days)

This registration is completed in two stages and will take about 6 working days to finalise:

1. Complete the registration form
2. Confirm your identity (using the code received by register letter)

Immediate verification at the counter (48 hours)

Immediate verification is also possible and will enable you to access all e-procedure services within 48 hours. To this end, you can conduct this procedure at one of two offices:

• the office of the tax administration (Hôtel des Finances) if you are a taxpayer in Geneva, upon presentation of proof of identity and your mobile phone. An e-mail address is essential.
• the office of the civil registrar if you are resident within the territory of the City of Geneva, simply by presenting proof of identity and your mobile phone. An e-mail address is essential.
