Requesting voluntary incorporation in the civil defence unit

Who is this procedure intended for?

This procedure is intended for the following people:

• men released from the obligation to serve in the army, accomplish civilian service or serve in the civil defence unit;
• men subject to the obligation to serve in the army who are no longer required to perform military or civilian service;
• women of Swiss nationality, from the beginning of the year during the course of which they will celebrate their 20th birthday;
• foreign women resident in Switzerland, from the beginning of the year during the course of which they will celebrate their 20th birthday.
