7th call for projects in the community centres

Are you an inhabitant, an association or a group of users? Are you interested in community life? Do you have ideas and resources? You have the opportunity to propose a project which will be incorporated into the new activities programmes of the community centres for the period 2022-2025.

Henceforth, the Social Service will issue a call for projects every three years with a view to renewing the activities programme of its 11 community centres so that this reflects the wishes and expectations of the inhabitants as closely as possible. At present, almost 200 activities are organised which are intended for everyone, ranging from gymnastic through inter-generational meetings to an introduction to new technologies.

How to participate?

This call for projects takes the form of a competition between ideas and activities. The social, cultural or recreational projects submitted must be designed to encourage inter-generational ties. While the health crisis contributes to restricting contact, strengthening safe social ties within the neighbourhoods is more essential than ever.

All the details can be found on the page www.geneve.ch/projets-quartiers where applicants can register online directly. The information points are on hand to complete the ad hoc form or provide information.

By suggesting an activity, you have the opportunity to play a more hands-on role in the life of your local community. If your project is accepted, you will have the chance to develop it in a community centre provided by the City of Geneva. Bursting with a host of new ideas, the new programmes organised in the community centres will be launched in September 2022.

The deadline for submitting projects is 28 February 2022.
