Reduced rates or free admission

The permanent collections of the cultural institutions of the City of Geneva are generally free for all visitors. Admission to collections and exhibitions subject to a fee is generally free for people under 18 and on the first Sunday of every month.

Students and apprentices (upon presentation of proof of eligibility) benefit from reduced rates for admission to most museum collections subject to an admission fee, cultural events, sports installations and films screened in independent cinemas in Geneva.

Some museums, like the MEG or the Natural History Museum, offer preferential rates for 18-25 year-olds.

For more information, please visit the website of the institution in question or ask at the ticket counter if you can benefit from a reduction.

If you are under 21 and you wish to benefit from a discount on a range of artistic, cultural and sporting activities in Geneva and in neighbouring France, purchase the  “20 ans/20 francs” card. This entitles you to reduced rates on admission fees for certain sporting or cultural facilities.
