Dogs are accepted in certain places on condition that they are kept on a leash.
Generally speaking, dogs must be kept on a leash in all public areas:
- public thoroughfares;
- quays and promenades;
- public parks.
Dogs must also be kept on a leash:
- within the internationally renowned water bird and migratory bird sanctuary (bay and Rhône);
- in forests from 1 April to 15 July, as well as when the owner does not have complete control over his/her animal;
- on camp sites.
Some exceptions do exist: certain places, in particular certain parks, are strictly prohibited to dogs, while other locations are places where dogs can be taken off the leash, on condition that they are accompanied.
Below, you will find a selection of circuits ideally suited to taking a walk with the dogs.
