Games libraries

The 12 games libraries in the City of Geneva offer children and families the chance to borrow games. They are also meeting places which organise a number of activities.

The games libraries provide families with a place where they can play and borrow games. They also help create social ties.

Children discover or rediscover game rules and behavioural rules which will serve them throughout their life.

To encourage social cohesion, the City of Geneva actively supports the associations of games libraries. It provides them with premises and funds their operations. By doing so, the City supports the commitment of all the games librarians.

Games buses

The games libraries travel outside their walls. In addition to the 12 games library, two games buses ("ludobus") run through parks and courtyards in summer and winter.

Summer schedule: During May and September, in the school yards from 4pm to 6pm from Monday to Thursday. During July and August, in the parks from 3.30pm to 7pm from Monday to Thursday.

Winter schedule: After October school holidays until Easter, every Wednesday afternoon from 2.30pm to 5pm, alternately in the school yards of Geisendorf and Hugo-de-Senger
