Thanks to the mobile workshops, children can visit the museums of Geneva, observe nature according to the seasons, discover architecture and music or create a play or dance show.
Inaugurated in 2015, the mobile workshops offer children the chance to familiarise themselves with the following themes: sustainable development, architecture, art, science, dance, music, roller-skating and theatre.
The mobile workshops are organised in the following schools:
How does it work?
The mobile workshops are held intermittently from September 2019 to June 2020. They are organised in the schools in series of 4 or 5 sessions between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. during the extra-curricular period.
Registrations and costs
To participate in the workshops, the pupils must first be registered for the extra-curricular activities in their schools (GIAP).
The pupils then receive the mobile workshops programme in September and inform the GIAP coordinators of their choice of workshop, the coordinators allocating available places during the week from Tuesday 10 to Thursday 12 September 2019 between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The cost of the workshops is borne by the City of Geneva.
The GIAP coordinators take over supervision of the children when they leave class, offer them a snack and accompany them to their workshop. At 6 p.m., the children are picked up by their parents in the usual extra-curricular room.
The detailed programmes per sectors can be downloaded at the bottom of the page. The programmes may be subject to change during the course of the year.
