The fight against global warming is not only a question of government, cantonal and municipal policy: sustainable development begins on a daily basis with small gestures. Going shopping, getting around town, doing the housework... behind each of these daily activities lies a series of eco-gestures making it possible to reduce your energy consumption.

There are hundreds of ways of consuming less, for example with regard to water.

Websites brimming over with ideas

Numerous well-documented websites provide information and guidance with regard to different ways of saving energy on a daily basis:

  • The Energybox website provides a full evaluation of your household electricity consumption and presents specific measures to help you save energy.
  • The Topten website offers advice about purchasing hi-fi equipment and electrical appliances with low energy consumption.
