Glass containers must be thrown away in the ad hoc skips located at the eco-points.

Good to know

There is no need to remove paper labels as they burn during the recycling process. Caps and lids made from plastic, cork, metal or rubber must be removed.

Window glass cannot be recycled as its chemical composition is different from that of bottles. Materials that cannot be recovered (mirrors, porcelain, etc.) have a higher melting point than glass packaging and may contain heavy metals which disrupt the recycling process.

Why recycle glass?

To save energy: producing recycled glass requires 25% less energy than producing primary glass. Used glass can be melted down an unlimited number of times without any loss of quality.
