This temporary venue dedicated to leisure, well-being and sport welcomes the public from 9 June to 11 September 2022, with the possibility of eating on site.

Sports classes and leisure activities
For the third year running, the City of Geneva is organising free sports classes and leisure activities at la Canopée, open to all ages. These classes are held in the morning from 8.30 a.m. to midday and in the evening from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. In a shady green setting, you can discover activities such as cross training, yoga, pilates and zumba. There is no need to register beforehand to take part in these classes.
Refreshments bar, food truck and hammocks
Unlike the past two editions which were held against the unprecedented backdrop of the health crisis, this year la Canopée features a refreshments bar, run by the Geneva Federation of LGBT Associations, and a food truck. Visitors can therefore enjoy a bite to eat on a patio by the water’s edge or even enjoy a game of pétanque. Furthermore, a shady relaxation area has been installed, with thirty hammocks.
Women’s Euro on big screen
From 6 to 31 July, the matches of the European Women's Football Championship will be shown on a big screen installed on the leisure zone structure. During the games of the Swiss team and at weekends, activities promoting women’s sport will be organised for local residents around the relaxation area.
A green site
La Canopée is also a green site. With the support of the Parks and Gardens Service (SEVE), close to 80 planted “big bags” and more than a hundred planter boxes have been installed across the entire site.
Events organised around the bay
In organising this new edition of La Canopée, the City of Geneva has taken advantage of the space created along Quai Gustave Ador to demonstrate once again its desire to provide entertainment around the bay while nevertheless limiting noise pollution. With the “Bronzette” refreshments bar and La Canopée located on the southern shore, Quai Gustave Ador is an ideal place to take a stroll or chill out throughout the summer.
