Through this prize, Rue de l’Avenir wishes to acknowledge the political courage of the elected representatives, Ms Frédérique Perler for the City, her predecessor, Rémy Pagani, and Mr Serge dal Busco for the State of Geneva, who took rapid action during the health crisis by providing the population with safe, effective solutions for travelling by bike or on foot.

Sign of acknowledgement

The Rue de l’Avenir prize has been awarded every year since 2011. As an honorary award, it is a sign of acknowledgement and distinction of a policy or innovative approach in the fields of action of Rue de l'Avenir: soft mobility, local urban planning, safe travel and the use of public areas for all.

The 2020 prize will be presented during the Rue de l'Avenir Day in Yverdon-les-Bains.
