The City of Geneva answers your questions about waste

The street cleaning – clean city service (VVP) is regularly present at the City of Geneva’s ecopoints to provide the population with information about waste. These chats are a particularly good place for mentioning the cleanliness plan and waste management.

As part of a proximity campaign that has been under way since spring 2022, VVP is organising meetings with the public: 15 have already been held this year and another five are scheduled before the end of 2023 at various ecopoints on both sides of the lake.

City employees will be on hand to answer residents’ questions about sorting waste, with a view to fostering dialogue and facilitating direct contact between members of the public and the authorities. The manager for responsible for keeping the district clean will be present, along with someone from the incivility management team.

Drinks and snacks will be on offer to make it a sociable occasion. The Road Services department will be delighted to talk to you in your district on the following occasions:

Friday 18 August: Eaux-Vives beach, 4.30 to 6.30pm
Wednesday 6 September: Planète Charmilles south entrance, 11am to 1pm
Friday 22 September: Route de Florissant 50, 4.30 to 6.30pm
Wednesday 4 October: Promenade de Saint Antoine 8, 11am to 1pm
Saturday 14 October: Rue de la Poterie 14, 11am to 1p
