Opening of registrations for sport classes for young people, adults and senior citizens

More than 50 classes, organised by the City of Geneva and run by skilled instructors, are available for different target audiences: sports camps for young people (aged 4 to 17), sports classes for adults (18 and over) and sports classes for senior citizens (55 and over).

These classes provide an opportunity to discover a new sporting discipline or hone skills you already possess and are affordable for everyone.

They are open to everyone in the city, with priority given to residents of the City Geneva, subject to the age limit indicated and the places available.

The forthcoming registration dates are as follows:

•  Wednesday 10 January 2024 from 8.30 a.m. for residents of the City of Geneva;
•  Wednesday 17 January 2024 from 8.30 a.m. for the general public.

Programme of sports activities

•  Children and teenagers (aged 4 to 17), classes (during the school year) and camps (during the school holidays), 23 activities five of which are new this year*: athletics, baby boxing, baby tchoukball, kids boxing, badminton, multisports camp*, trampoline and street art camp*, chess camp, climbing, mini-curling camp*, mini aerial yoga camp*, mini winter camp (February holidays), mini Easter camp*, mini tennis, parkour, downhill skiing and snowboarding camp, street workout, taekwondo, tennis evolution for beginners, tennis evolution for advanced players, table tennis, unihockey and mountain biking.

One of the new activities is the mini curling camp, run by a very special instructor in the person of Peter De Cruz, multiple medallist at the Olympic Games, World Championships and European Championships and author of some of the greatest achievements in the history of Swiss curling. An unusual, captivating sport accessible to all combining skill, strategy and team spirit. An extended time frame is proposed for this camp, from 8.30 a.m. to 9 a.m., Tuesday to Thursday. During this extended time frame, activities will be organised for children.

•  Adults (aged 18 and over), 10 activities: aquabike, aquafitness, aquagym, aquagym cross, aquapalming, badminton, boxing for women, climbing, functional training, Swedish fitness.

•  Senior citizens (aged 55 and over), 18 activities: badminton, French billiards, chess, Feldenkrais, core stabilisation, aquagym, golf for beginners, power walking, swimming for beginners, intermediate swimming, Nordic walking, pétanque, pilates, qi gong, soft tennis for beginners, advanced soft tennis, table tennis, yoga.
