This innovative solution for sharing sports equipment is installed at the entrance to la Plage des Eaux-Vives, providing the public with free access to sports and leisure equipment via a mobile app.
The 6 connected lockers contain the following sports equipment:
- Mölkky: the trendy game for outdoors
- Cornhole: a fun, family game, ideal for parks
- Balance board: perfect for improving your balance
- Battle rope: can be used on the street workout facility close to the Box-up
- Fitness: containing a kettlebell, adjustable from 2 to 18 kg, a 3 kg weight and a skipping rope
- Badminton: racquets and shuttlecocks
Thanks to this Box-up, the City of Geneva invites the population to continue doing regular physical activity outdoors, with free access at zero cost.
The lockers are connected to a mobile app and can be unlocked using a mobile phone. The equipment can be used free of charge and must be returned to the locker when no longer in use. The structure is powered by a solar panel. For more information: www.box-up.ch
