From 6 April 2021, les Charmilles ice rink – at the very heart of the Europe district – will reopen to children and young people under the age of 20.
During the Easter holidays, the ice rink will be open every day from 6 to 10 April, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. After that, during the school term, it will be open from 14 April to 30 June, Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. From 14 April 2021, the Roller Slalom Genève association will organise free roller-skating activities on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Out goes the synthetic ice to be replaced by colourful floor paint! As spring returns, les Charmilles ice rink will be given a face-lift thanks to a new surface, and will once again open its doors to children and young people under the age of 20.
New opening hours
This rink is open with no admission fee at the following times:
- 6 to 10 April: every day from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.;
- 14 April to 30 June: Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
With its new surface, les Charmilles ice rink is a firm favourite with roller-skating fans. And from 14 April 2021, the Roller Slalom Genève association will organise free roller-skating activities on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Eventually, the facilities will be open to the inhabitants all year round, like a mini multi-sports arena.
During the Easter holidays, the Youth Service, responsible for operating the ice rink, will collect suggestions from users for a new name for this centre better adapted to its current use.
In the event of rain, the ice rink will not be open.
