In addition to the actions already implemented, such as the creation of meeting zones limited to 20 km/h and 30 km/h and the installation of sound-absorbent road surfaces, the City of Geneva wants to pursue its efforts to reduce road noise and pollution and to improve the quality of life of the local inhabitants by introducing a general speed limit of 30 km/h across the entire municipality, applicable both at night and during the day. The Administrative Council will call on the State Council to encourage the Cantonal Office of Transport to take the measures necessary to implement this speed limit.
