Swiss Film Award 2022: Nominees’ Week. See or revisit the best of Swiss cinema at the Cinémas du Grütli

On 25 March the Swiss Film Awards – the famous Quartz – will be presented in Zurich. To accompany this event, Nominees’ Week will be held from 21 to 27 March at the Cinémas du Grütli (and simultaneously at the Filmpodium in Zurich), giving the public the chance to see or revisit the films nominated and talk to the films’ teams, most of whom will be present for a discussion with viewers.

In total, 14 full-length films and 11 shorts will be shown, including the following full-length works from French-speaking Switzerland: LA MIF by Frédéric Baillif, AZOR by Andreas Fontana, OLGA by Elie Grappe, LES GUÉRISSEURS by Marie-Eve Hildbrand and RÉVEIL SUR MARS by Dea Gjinovci.

An opportunity for film fans to discover high-quality works from German-speaking Switzerland that have not yet appeared on the screen in the western part of the country.

The weekend of 26 and 27 March will be devoted to the prize winning films, plus the comedy drama PLEINE LUNE by Fredi M. Murer, winner of the Honorary Award 2022.

Free showings

Please note: so everyone can discover the films, showings cost CHF 5 during the week and are free at the weekend.

The Swiss Film Award is a commitment by the Federal Office of Culture, and facilitated in partnership with SRG SRR and the Association “Quartz” Genève Zurich, a cooperation between the Canton of Geneva and the Cities of Geneva and Zurich. The awards ceremony alternates between the two cities.
