The “Jeudis midi de l’affiche” cycle at Geneva Library is organising an unprecedented encounter, welcoming Erich Brechbühl, a key figure of Swiss graphic design, to a conference held exceptionally in English on Thursday 27 April at 12.15 p.m..
A cultural lunch break? An unprecedented meeting with a graphic designer, a historian, an enthusiast or a printer? Once a month, Geneva Libraryde organises conferences and discussions entitled “les Jeudis midi de l’affiche”, focussing on its collection of more than 130,000 posters.
In April, a key figure of Swiss graphic design will share his insights into his creative process: Erich Brechbühl. A member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale and co-founder of the “Weltformat” poster festival in Lucerne. Erich Brechbühl has won numerous prestigious international awards for his creations. He will explain how he let the shape of the characters speak rather than stopping at the meaning of the words. Conference in English.
