The records played during this DJ Set come from the Marco Botta collection, acquired by MEG in 2011. The collection includes almost 5,000 LPs, most of which date from the 1960s and 70s, and have been released on a multitude of labels around the world. The artists are invited to come and dig through our collections a few hours before their set.
In 2016, Amiral Disko and his partner Didier Grosstête launched their duo Les Babtous International. As Dig's long-standing partners, the two friends enjoy sharing their nuggets on vinyl together. From West Africa to the Caribbean, via the frenzied rhythms of Latin America, there's no stopping them. Today, Amiral Disko is also a radio presenter, focusing his research on the musical continent of Brazil. Let's see what he has in store for us in this special session after delving into the MEG archives...
