What is art? A huge subject and an unfathomable question!
We prefer to skirt around it lovingly by talking only about artists and visions that stimulate our interest, provoke our fascination and furiously make us want to share them.
This is where theatre becomes the gateway to an unclassifiable show that is part investigation, part tale, part theatre of the everyday and part love declaration under the foliage of a public garden.
In a situation that is initially very realistic, we will follow the conversations between the various characters who cross paths there: the babysitting grandmother, the retired man on his bench in the sun, the jogger, the two young people and their skateboard, the street musician, the couple of employees working in parks and gardens...
But before you know it, Queen Fiction will have taken control in the guise of these "ordinary" characters: they discuss art, all without exception, all passionate connoisseurs and surprisingly erudite in their own way. And they take us on a journey through their astonishing, singular and unbelievable art stories, looking at the ins and outs of their beloved artists, their work and their lives.
And it's not exactly boring! Tragedies, rapes, atrocious crimes, stories of revenge... but also stories of love, transcendent passions, resilience and humanist visions of the world.
On a big screen with magnificent images and a fully painted set, we'll wander from Egyptian papyrus to the machines of Fischli & Weiss, from Brueghel the Elder to Niki de Saint Phalle's rifle, via David Hockney, Vermeer and many others.
Like an ideal museum, which will be one of the last creations by the founders of the Théâtre du Loup.
Our love of art is a way of celebrating beauty, intelligence, humour and, above all, our love of life.
E. J.
"I'm all for art, but art that has nothing to do with art, because art has everything to do with life." Robert Rauschenberg
