The Genève en poche app now offers the option of consulting content in English. A recently introduced notification service means you'll never miss any news or events in Geneva again.
Since 1 October 2021, the Genève en poche app has brought together a wealth of useful information in an easily accessible format with a simple and colourful design. Developing in line with the population’s needs, it now boasts a number of new functions.
Geneva in the pocket?
Keen to address an increasingly diverse audience, the City of Geneva has brought out an English version of its app, providing the same information as can be found on the French version.
This allows both passing tourists and the local English-speaking population to access the different functions of the app such as the diary, practical information and geolocalised tours with points of interest along the way.
To select the English version:
- “Menu” - “Settings” - “Select a language”
Keep up to date with the latest news in the City!
The app is also activating a new notification service in order to send users reminders of news and events not to be missed in the City of Geneva.

Digital transition policy
In line with the implementation of the digital transition policy adopted by the City of Geneva, the Genève en poche app represents a tangible measure promoting access to information about the City and the services it provides. It adds to an already wide-ranging, direct and centralised digital communication service.
