From 21 August to 10 September, les Vernets swimming pool will be closed to the public for annual maintenance. While awaiting the reopening on 11 September, it is possible to make use of Varembé swimming pool.

Like every year, les Vernets swimming pool will be closed for 3 weeks for an in-depth inspection of the machinery, pipes, seals, tiles, etc.
This maintenance and repair work will enable it to reopen its doors in the best possible conditions and to welcome the public and clubs for a new season of sport and recreation.
Annual maintenance
This year’s annual maintenance includes:
- verification and replacement of the damaged tiles in the pools,
- miscellaneous inspections and security operations (electricity, heating, aeration, ventilation, machinery, seals, etc.),
- full cleaning (indoor pool, common areas (changing rooms, showers, etc.), storage places, etc.),
- sanitation and renewal of the water in all the pools (in particular the 2,870 m3 water in the Olympic pool).
Where to go swimming until the pool reopens?
During the closure, you can swim at Varembé swimming pool or in open water, thanks to different access points to the water around the City and Canton of Geneva.
